Street Photography, 2022 – Shinjuku, Tokyo
Photographed by Goro – one loud image
Shinjuku Station is the world’s busiest railway station, connecting inter-city, commuter, and subway lines. The main station complex and directly adjacent private railways sum it up to a total of 35 platforms, used by 3 and a half million people every single day. The proximity to shopping, restaurant, and bar areas along with the Omoide Yokocho, the Golden Gai, and the entertainment district Kabukicho make it a perfect location for overworked salarymen to stop by after work to have a bite or a drink or to sing a couple of songs with the coworkers in a karaoke bar.
The photo was taken off the Shinjuku Center Pedestrian Bridge right across the street from the Atari-logo-shaped Sompo Japan Building in Nishi-Shinjuku.
